Why delivery matters

Great ingredients deserve better delivery.

Every skincare product contains active ingredients—but many never reach the skin efficiently. Exposure to air, light, and the skin’s natural barrier can reduce their effectiveness before they have an opportunity to work.

That’s why delivery technology matters just as much as ingredient selection.

Traditional formulation

A close-up cosmetic-style rendering of skin layers with a dollop of white cream on top and translucent amber droplets scattered around it.
  • Most ingredients remain on the surface
  • Greater exposure to air and light
  • Immediate release and shorter contact time
  • Delivery can be inconsistent

LNP3™ technology

A close-up illustration of a white cream or balm applied to a peach-toned skin layer, with small green circular details scattered across the surface, on a soft light gray background.
  • Encapsulation helps protect delicate actives
  • Skin-compatible lipids support barrier interaction
  • Designed for gradual, sustained release
  • Longer contact time on the skin

How LNP3™ works

Designed to protect, deliver and release.

LNP3™ uses a multi-layer lipid nanoparticle system to help protect active ingredients, improve their interaction with the skin and support gradual release over time.

01

Protect

Encapsulation of delicate active ingredients helps shield from premature degradation caused by air, light and moisture.

02

Deliver

Skin-compatible lipids are designed to improve penetration, contact and interaction with the skin barrier.

03

Release

Supports 24 hours gradual release rather than delivering the entire active load at once.

04

Maintain

The nanoemulgel base helps maintain hydration and keeps the formulation in contact with the skin longer.

Why LNP3™ works

Built from skin-compatible lipids.

LNP3™ is built using lipids selected for compatibility with the skin barrier. This helps the nanoparticles interact naturally with the skin while supporting ingredient stability, even distribution and controlled release.

LNP3™ uses a multi-layer lipid structure designed to protect active ingredients and support topical delivery within the upper layers of the skin.

01

Skin-Compatible

Built using lipids selected to interact comfortably with the skin barrier.

02

Protective

Multi-layer encapsulation helps protect delicate active ingredients before release.

03

Uniform Delivery

Nano-sized particles help distribute active ingredients more evenly across the skin.

04

Controlled Release

Designed to support gradual release and longer contact time on the skin.

LNP3 vs. Traditional cream

A measurable difference

It is not only what is in the formula—it is how active ingredients are protected, released and kept in contact with the skin.

Questions, answered

The science, made clear.

Explore common questions about our technology, formulations and approach to topical skincare.

What makes LNP3 different?

LNP3 is CNANO's proprietary triple-layer lipid nanoparticle delivery technology. Rather than applying active ingredients directly to the skin, LNP3™ encapsulates them within multiple lipid layers designed to help protect delicate ingredients, support gradual release, and improve interaction with the skin barrier. Combined with our nanoemulgel base, LNP3™ focuses on improving ingredient delivery—not simply increasing ingredient concentration.

Are lipid nanoparticles safe for sensitive skin?

LNP3 uses skin-compatible lipids that are selected to work alongside the skin's natural moisture barrier. Every CNANO formulation is developed with both performance and skin safety in mind. While everyone's skin is different, lipid nanoparticle technology has been widely used in topical formulations because of its compatibility with the skin. As with any new skincare product, we recommend patch testing before regular use.

How are LNP3 nanoparticles sized?

LNP3™ uses nanometer-scale lipid particles engineered to improve the distribution of active ingredients across the skin's surface and into the upper layers of the epidermis. Their small, uniform size helps maximize contact with the skin while supporting consistent release and formulation stability. Rather than relying on large emulsion droplets, LNP3™ is designed to optimize topical delivery.

Why not just use higher concentrations of actives?

Higher concentrations don't always produce better skincare results. If an ingredient isn't delivered efficiently or loses stability after application, simply adding more may increase irritation without improving performance. LNP3 focuses on better delivery instead of higher dosage, helping protect active ingredients and support sustained release so formulations can perform effectively at appropriate concentrations.
