Traditional skincare often focuses on which ingredients are used. CNANO began with a different question: How can those ingredients be delivered more precisely?

Our work began with research into skin repair and difficult-to-treat conditions and evolved into a platform for developing advanced topical products for everyday skincare, professional procedures and pharmaceutical applications.

Built at the intersection of nanotechnology and skin regeneration

Dr. Ellie Rahmani (Ph.D., Pharm.D.) is a dermatology and pharmaceutical scientist specializing in lipid nanoparticle and peptide delivery for skin and hair regeneration. With a strong research foundation at the University of British Columbia, her work focuses on defining key scientific parameters for the precise delivery of bioactive peptides and developing advanced regenerative products to support skin repair following cosmetic procedures, surgery, and burn-related injuries. Her research also encompasses approaches to hypertrophic and keloid scar management, with the goal of supporting balanced tissue repair, skin restoration, and improved aesthetic outcomes through activation of the skin’s intrinsic repair and regenerative responses.
