INJECTABLE Filler

Hylauronic Acid (HA)

Injectable hyaluronic acid (HA) also known as  is an injectable dermal filler that adds volume and hydration to the skin. HA fillers provide immediate results with little to no downtown, with effects shortly visible after treatment.

Because HA works through hydration and structural support, results can be tailored to specific areas and aesthetic goals. Maintenance treatments may be needed over time as the body naturally breaks down the hyaluronic acid.

Always follow the aftercare instructions provided by your treatment professional.

Understand the Treatment

How HA Works

HA is a naturally occurring substance found in the body at the joints, eyes, and skin, where it contributes to the hydration, cushioning, and tissue structure. As a dermal filler, HA is injected underneath the skin to restore volume, soften folds, and/or enhance facial contour.

Once HA is injected, it attracts and retains water at the injected site, resulting in enhanced hydration and volume.

HA can be used in a range of facial areas, but the product, injection depth, and technique vary depending on the treatment goal. HA fillers such as Juvéderm®, Restylane®, Revanesse®, and Teosyal® are specifically formulated for areas such as the lips, while others are designed for deeper structural support. Suitability is determined at consultation.

Commonly addresses:

  • Loss of facial volume and hollowing
  • Wrinkles and fine lines
  • Lip volume and definition
  • Chin and jawline contouring
  • Hydration and overall skin quality

The Treatment Timeline

  • Immediate Response | 24-72 Hours

Results are generally visible immediately after treatment, although the area may initially appear fuller than the final result. Mild swelling, redness, tenderness, or bruising can occur around injection sites. As early swelling settles, the treated area begins to reflect the actual result more accurately.

  • Settling | Days 3-14

Swelling and tenderness gradually resolve, while the HA integrates into the surrounding tissue. The treated area typically becomes softer and more natural-looking as the initial post-treatment effects subside. Follow-up may be recommended to assess the result once the area has settled.

  • Maintenance | Months 6-18+

HA gradually breaks down and is naturally cleared by the body. How long results last depends on the product used, treatment area, amount injected, individual metabolism, and movement in the treated area. Maintenance treatments can be considered as the effect gradually diminishes.

How do hyaluronic acid fillers work?

Hyaluronic acid (HA) fillers are injectable dermal fillers that restore volume, soften the appearance of folds and lines, and enhance facial contour. HA naturally attracts and retains water, which helps increase hydration and fullness in the treated area.

How quickly will I see results from HA filler?

Results are generally visible immediately after treatment. The treated area may initially appear fuller because of swelling, but this usually begins to settle over the first few days. As swelling and tenderness improve, the final result becomes more apparent over approximately 1–2 weeks.

How long do hyaluronic acid fillers last?

HA filler results typically last anywhere from about 6 to 18 months or longer, depending on the product used, treatment area, amount injected, individual metabolism, and movement in the treated area. Maintenance treatments may be recommended as the filler gradually breaks down.

What areas can hyaluronic acid filler treat?

HA fillers can be used to address facial volume loss, fine lines and wrinkles, lip volume and definition, chin and jawline contouring, and overall skin hydration. Different products are formulated for different treatment areas and injection depths, so suitability is determined during consultation.

What skincare can I use alongside HA filler treatments?

Skincare can complement HA filler by supporting hydration, skin renewal, and overall skin quality in areas beyond the directly injected sites. CNANO novoLUX™ nano · peptide · glow can be incorporated into the surrounding skincare regimen to support a smoother, firmer, and more radiant-looking complexion.

Support Skin Before & After HA Injections

Hyaluronic acid (HA) fillers add volume and hydration beneath the skin, creating results that are visible shortly after treatment. As the filler gradually integrates and settles, consistency in aftercare and supportive skincare can help maintain hydration and complement the overall rejuvenation result.
